Undoubtedly, the nature of Ibiza is the most important
place of interest of the island.
Ibiza
beaches are famous for
their unique beauty, turquoise waters and rare transparency. Possessing the
area of 572 square kilometers, the island has 210 kilometers of the coastline
from which more than 18 are covered with beaches. In total there are more than
70 beaches on Ibiza. Among them more than 50 are sandy, about ten are gravel
and stone, and one (Punta Galera) is rocky. Two beaches on the island are
considered to be nudist (Es Cavallet and s'Aigua Blanca). Eleven beaches on
Ibiza for the purity are awarded with a blue flag – the international award
which is annually handed over to the beaches and moorings, where water meets the
high quality standards and is suitable for safe bathing.
Among this large number you will find a beach which fully
meets your needs. For a quiet family rest you can go to Cala d'Hort, Platja ses
Figueretes, Cala Vedella, Es Canar where you will comfortably feel with
children. On the youth beaches like Platja d’en Bossa, Platja de ses Salines,
Platja de Sant Antoni, Cala Jondal, music beats days and nights, there are
popular discos and clubs. There are also beaches with the length of several
kilometers - Platja d’en Bossa, Platja de ses Salines, Platja de Sant Antoni, at
the same time there have a rest thousands of people. And there are absolutely
small, only 15-20 meters long, beaches, which harboured in small bays among
wild picturesque rocks. The small companies or loving couples feel comfortably
themselves here. At many beaches there are schools of water sports where
skilled instructors will train you in driving on windsurfing or kiting, water
skiing, or diving.
There are also places of interest at the beaches on
Ibiza - restaurants. Here you will be suggested to try delicate dishes of Ibizian
or Mediterranean kitchen.
